This document defines the responsibility and accountability for theenvironmental, health, and safety program at the University of California,Berkeley.

The Environmental, Health and Safety Policy Committee, as delegated by theChancellor, sets environmental, health, and safety policy for the campus.In accordance with these policies, students, faculty, staff, administrators,visitors, and guests have responsibilities for complying, implementing,communicating and/or ensuring adherence to environmental, health and safetyregulations, principles and practices. The Office of Environment, Health& Safety (EH&S) provides technical expertise, consulting assistance,and services to assure compliance with legal requirements.
