CHEMICAL HYGIENE PLAN

Cal/OSHA (Title 8 CCR Sec. 5191) requires that all laboratories have a written Chemical Hygiene Plan as a fundamental chemical safety plan for the laboratory. Chemical Hygiene Plans are required to include laboratory specific hazard and safety information. To comply with Cal/OSHA requirements, the laboratory must designate a Chemical Hygiene Officer who is responsible for completing and implementing this Chemical Hygiene Plan. The Chemical Hygiene Officer must complete this template and ensure that all laboratory employees read and sign the completed Plan. The Plan should then be posted and its provisions enforced.
