Description

Compliance with Hazardous Materials Management regulation (CCR 6.95, Section 25531 et seq.) requires UC Berkeley to identify California-regulated "acutely hazardous materials" (AHMs), maintain an AHM inventory, and prepare a Risk Management and Prevention Program (RMPP) if requested by the local implementing agency. To reduce cost and potential risks associated with AHMs, the Laboratory Operations & Safety Committee (LO&SC) has instructed EH&S to develop, coordinate and implement an Acutely Hazardous Materials Managment Program (AHMMP) to monitor campus use and amounts of AHMs. If you think the chemicals you use may be "acutely hazardous," please contact the EH&S at 642-3073.
